SKLS Summer Carnival: Fun in the Sun for a Good Cause

Last month, S&K Logistics Services (SKLS) Savannah River team, in collaboration with sister contractor Delaware Nation Industries, organized a corporate-sponsored event open to all employees and their families.

The event was centered around a “Summer Carnival” theme and saw participation from over 100 attendees. There was a barbecue-style luncheon and a range of family-friendly activities, including water slides, face painting, video games, and other entertainment options.

The highlight of this year’s event and fundraising initiative was the renowned dunk tank. Notably, the SKLS management team, led by Project Manager Mike Serrato, enthusiastically volunteered to participate in this engaging activity.

Their collective efforts successfully generated over $700 in proceeds. Serrato had the honor of presenting the charitable contribution to Aiken Children’s Place, a local nonprofit organization committed to assisting underserved children and families within the community.

SKLS provides various administrative and technical services for the Department of Energy at the Savannah River site in Aiken, South Carolina.
